Volvo XC60 Gets Electrified

Jaffarian Volvo loves to hear about the release of entirely new electric vehicles from Volvo. But we also enjoy hearing that a current new Volvo model we love is about to get electrified. If you agree, then it's your lucky day. Volvo recently unveiled a plug-in hybrid variant of the oh-so-stylish Volvo XC60 crossover.
Formally known as a fashionable, fun-to-drive family hauler, the XC60 may soon add eco-friendly and fuel efficient to its list of admirable qualities. We say "may" because as of now the XC60 Plug-In Hybrid remains a concept to be ogled over. However, Volvo officials have confirmed that a gas-electric plug-in will most definitely go on sale in the U.S. by 2015. Whether or not that model will come in the body of an XC60, we can only hope.
Until the automaker nails down its hybrid plans, Jaffarian Volvo is more than happy to divulge concept model details. Packed with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and electric motor, the XC60 hybrid concept pushes out a combined total of 350 ponies and achieves a remarkable sprint time of 0-to-60 miles per hour in a mere 5.8-seconds. Yep, we're still talking about a hybrid. Rather impressive, right? In addition to bringing speed and performance to the hybrid sector, the Volvo concept also achieves a 100-mpg equivalent and can travel up to 35 miles on electric power alone.
Sound like some green technology you could get into? If so, then be sure to stay tuned to Jaffarian Volvo at 600 River Street Haverhill, MA 01832 for the latest XC60 updates. For more information regarding other stellar Volvo models, feel free to contact us online anytime!
