Starting next year, Volvo fans will see big change in the European EV market with the new V60 Plug-in Hybrid. A brainchild of the Volvo/Vattenfall collaboration, the new model will display a rare combination of performance and fuel-efficiency. Though the V60 hybrid won't be making its way to the U.S. anytime soon, Jaffarian Volvo is simply happy to know that the brand we trust the most is headed in the right direction.

Creating more efficient new Volvo vehicles first requires creating more efficient Volvo parts. In order to ensure that the former happens, the Swedish automaker has chosen to implement the latter through the rejection of large six- and eight-cylinder engines. Instead, Volvo will begin to use much smaller options.
